Hardship Red

History

The "Hardship Red" was one of the latest Belgian Air Force aerobatic display teams.

In 2008, this new team was initially unofficially formed flying with four SIAI-Marchetti SF-260 trainers. The following year, this team received "official" status as an aerobatic team along with the formal name of "Hardship Red". The name was derived from the "call-sign" of Belgian Marchetti instructor pilots along with the main color of the badge of the 5th Squadron, which is responsible for the flying training of student pilots in the 1st Wing at Beauvechain.

As of April 2011, the team has been re-branded as the "Red Devils" and all of the team's aircraft have been repainted in a new overall "red" livery.
