History
The “Red Diamonds” were an aerobatic display team in the Royal Australian Air Force.The team, which was formed in 1962 and existed until 1964, was also equipped with five CAC CA-27 Mk.31 Sabres from No. 76 Squadron in Williamtown. Known aircraft serials used by the team include: A94-925, -930, -939, -942 and -947. This team was the precursor to the “Black Panthers” display team from No. 76 Squadron.
