History
The first aerobatic display team in the Belgian Air Force
was formed in 1952 and were called the "Acrobobs". The team, under the
leadership of Robert Bladt, flew four Gloster Meteor F.8 jet fighters
from No. 350 Squadron. Their first display was at Gosselies on May 18,
1952 and, in July of that year, they were awarded first place in an
international contest in Lyon, France. The "Acrobobs" were eventually
disbanded in 1956.
