Taming Sari

History

“Taming Sari” were the first Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF or Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia) aerobatic display team. The team was formed in 1983 at the RMAF Flying Training Center #1, based at Alor Setar, Kedah. Originally the team flew five Pilatus PC-7 Mk I trainers painted in white, red and blue colors. Later “Taming Sari” reduced the team numbers to just three aircraft and also slightly changed the livery of the airplanes.
In 1995, two of the team's PC-7s accidentally collided in mid-air but both pilots escaped safely from the incident. The team performed for the last time in 1995, during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) exhibition.
